Dr Soheir Abadier

MBBS AMC FRACGP - Senior Lecturer School of Medicine, University of Wollongong

 

Dr. Soheir Abadier began her work as a General Practitioner in rural NSW in the town of Dubbo in 2001. She then worked as a solo GP from 2002 in Peak Hill where she was responsible for providing care in the clinic as well as the local hospital of the town for the locals and surrounding areas until 2009.

Since 2009, Dr. Abadier moved to the Illawarra. She is a co-founder of Shellharbour Medical Centre, which is a practice that also serves as a teaching practice for the Royal Australian College of General Practice and the University of Wollongong.

Dr. Abadier is a clinical supervisor for Phase 1-3 medical students at the University of Wollongong. Dr. Abadier’s areas of interest include Women’s health, antenatal care and children’s health. Outside of work, Dr. Sue is very involved in the local Coptic community and is doting mother to her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

 

Clinical Associate Professor George Albert

MBBS FRACGP - Clinical Associate Professor School of Medicine, University of Wollongong

PLEASE NOTE: Dr Albert is available at Boat Harbour Medical Practice - Gerringong on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and at Shellharbour Medical Centre on Wednesday & Friday

 

George commenced his journey in General Practice in Dubbo, enjoying the “country style” of practice. He was responsible for providing care to the rural and regional communities of Dubbo and surrounding areas from 2002 to 2009.

Since 2009, George and his family have called the Illawarra home. Founding the award-winning Shellharbour Medical Centre, the practice also serves as a teaching practice for the Royal Australian College of General Practice and the University of Wollongong.

George is a GP Supervisor with GP Synergy, a Preceptor for Phase 1 & 3 Students as well as a Clinical Examiner with the UOW School of Medicine.

He is an RACGP Clinical Examiner Assessor for entry into the RACGP program (2006 - current), NSW Medical Council and NCAT Hearing Member and was Chair Illawarra Shoalhaven for RACGP NSW Faculty (2016 - 18).

George’s areas of interest include Diabetes, Hypertension & Heart Disease and Medical Education & Teaching. George is committed to Education as he enjoys being involved with others that share his passion for general practice. He also enjoys examining, as he feels. He does his part to maintain high standards in general practice.

 

Dr. Bahgat Gerges

MBBS FRACGP- Senior Lecturer School of Medicine, University of Wollongong

 

Dr. Gerges has a keen interest in and holds Certificate qualifications in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, through the University of Queensland. Dr Gerges conducts full body skin checks; including management, interventions, minor surgery and regular follow up and review Clinics each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

Dr. Allison Miller

Dr Allison Miller is a GP with 30 years’ experience. She worked in Sydney, New Zealand and Rural NSW before moving to Wollongong 15 years ago. She is involved with the training of GP’s in the Lower Eastern Region of NSW, and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong Graduate Medicine Programme. She enjoys spending time with her husband and six children.

 

Dr. Salwa Hammad

MB CHB FRACGP

 

Dr Salwa Hammad is a general practitioner with special interests in women’s health, children’s health and cosmetic medicine. She has additional training in aesthetic medicine, such as anti-wrinkle injections and fillers.

Dr Salwa Hammad achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in New Zealand, before moving to Australia. She has worked in the Illawarra region since 2010.

In her spare time, Dr Salwa Hammad enjoys taking walks around the coast and spending time with family.

 

Dr. Vera Stojkovska

MBBS FRACGP- Senior Lecturer School of Medicine, University of Wollongong

 

Dr Stojkovska is an experienced General Practitioner with special interests in antenatal care, children’s, women and men’s health.

Her hobbies outside of work include gardening and cooking.

 

Dr. Cindy Casado

BBiotech Hons (UOW 2003), MBBS (UOW 2011), Diploma in Child Health (CHW 2015), FRACGP (2021)

 

Dr Casados’ areas of interest include:

  • Preventative Health

  • Antenatal shared care (with The Wollongong Hospital)

  • Womens Health

  • Paediatrics

Dr Casado graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2011 and completed her post graduate training in the hospitals throughout the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. She has worked in General Practices located in Dapto and Kiama for the past 4 years, prior to joining the team at Shellharbour Medical Centre and Boat Harbour Medical Practice, Gerringong. 

Outside of work, Dr Casado is kept busy looking after her three young children and enjoying good coffee.

 

Dr. Rui Feitosa

MD

 

Dr Rui studied medicine in Brazil where he practiced as a General Surgeon before migrating to Australia in 2003. He has worked at RPA Hospital where he worked in the Emergency Department before doing General Surgical Training through the St George Hospital network. He then moved to Vascular Surgery where he worked for many years. He has recently made a move to General Practice and has joined our team at Shellharbour Medical Centre where he brings with him a wealth of clinical experience and surgical skills.

Dr Rui has a special interest in minor surgical procedures, vascular medicine and chronic wound management.

He speaks English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

 

Dr Nuran Rahman

SCHP, MBBS

 

Dr Rahman graduated from overseas. After successful completion of Australian medical council registration exams she completed her post graduation training in a range of areas in different hospitals in Adelaide and NSW since 2015 before starting her general practice in 2021. She also completed Sydney Child Health Program. In her spare time, Dr Rahman enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family. Area of interestinclude Women's health; Antenatal shared care; Pre pregnancy counselling; Paediatrics 

 

Dr Chamu Ramakrishna

MBBS, FRACGP, MPH, DCH

 

Dr Chamu Ramakrishna completed her medical degree overseas. She has successfully completed the Australian Medical council licensing exams. She has worked in different hospitals in Western Australia and Central Queensland. She commenced her GP training in Dubbo and has attained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022. Since then, she had worked as a fellow GP in Dubbo. Dr Chamu has vast experience working with different communities in Dubbo.

Dr Chamu has special interests in Women and Children’s health, Chronic disease management, Aboriginal health, Skin and mental health. During her free time, she likes to listen to music, cooking and loves to spend time with her family.
